The Granary Restaurant Terms & Conditions

Introduction

Thank you for choosing to dine with us at Granary Restaurant. We kindly ask that you read

our terms and conditions below before your visit.

Table Reservations and Contact Information

The Granary Restaurant operates an online booking system through TOGO, which you can

find at: www.craghousefarm.com. We do suggest that you make a reservation to avoid

disappointment as we can be busy on any given day. Bookings can also be made over the

phone by contacting us directly at (0113) 230 3618. Our phone lines can get busy at peak

times so you may be expected to wait for someone to take your call.

A reserved table is allocated for 90 minutes. Depending on the size of your party, further

time may be allocated, subject to availability. If you wish to make a large group booking of 7

or more people, we kindly ask that you get in touch with us via the phone number above or

via email at: cflltd@caringforlife.co.uk

Lateness and cancellations

We kindly ask that you adhere to your booking time. If you arrive earlier than your booking

time, you may be asked to wait. If you are running late, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

We hold any reserved tables for up to 15 minutes but may assign someone else the table.

We may get in touch via phone so please give an appropriate phone number when making a

reservation. Should you wish for an extended time due to lateness this is subject to

availability.

Should you need to cancel a booking for any reason we kindly ask that you get in touch with

us ASAP. For online bookings, you should have received a confirmation email in which you

can find a link to cancel the booking. If you are unable to cancel online, please give us a call.

Please note that when booking over the phone, emails are not usually taken for any

reservations, unless you specifically ask for it.

Amendments

Please call us or email if you have any changes to your booking prior to your visit.

If you have decreases or increases in the number of guests and have not notified us, you

may receive a different table than expected or may have to wait until an appropriate table

becomes available.

We ask that you kindly notify us if you require additional space for those needing wheelchair

access, those with limited mobility, or for highchairs and prams. This allows you to be seated

upon arrival and allows for a more efficient service. If there are amendments or changes to

your reservation and you have booked online, you will not receive a second confirmation

email.

Requests

For specific seating requests, we ask that you make this known when making a reservation.

Tables in any given area are subject to availability. Whilst we do our utmost best to honour

requests, we cannot guarantee specific tables and reserve the right to allocate any given

table at any given time.

Dietary Requirements

An up-to-date menu can be found on our website. Should anyone in your party have any dietary requirements or allergens, please list this on the booking form or notify us when booking via phone. You should also inform us when we take your order. Lots of items on the menu can be altered or changed to individual needs so please don’t hesitate to ask your server.

Our Allergen Policy

Allergen and ingredient information for the products we produce, and sell are made available

to our customers via our Allergen Identity Tables for plated and unwrapped foods and

detailed Ingredient Labels applied to pre-packed foods.  Our Allergen Identity Tables outline the 14 common food allergens that are present in the food recipe. Ingredient Labels declare all the food ingredients and allergens.

Please note however that our preparation areas handle many of the common allergen

ingredients and despite all reasonable precautions being taken to prevent cross

contamination there may be unavoidable traces of allergen ingredients present in any

product.  If you have any questions, please ask a member of the team when you visit who will be more than happy to help.

Alcohol Statement

It is against the law to knowingly sell alcohol to someone who is drunk or appears to be drunk. It is also an offence to knowingly buy or obtain alcohol for a drunken person on licensed premises.  It is also against the law to allow people to behave in a disorderly way whilst inside our premises or on the grounds of our premises.  Section 143 Licensing Act 2003 makes it an offence for someone who is either drunk or disorderly, if they fail to leave the premises when requested to do so by a member of staff or in extreme cases, should the Police be called to attend.

At Crag House Farm, we take our legal responsibilities to sell alcohol responsibly very seriously.  Please do not be offended if we refuse to sell you alcohol. Our staff have been trained so that they can recognise the effects of alcohol that may lead to them refusing to serve you; these include customers who display disruptive behaviour, glazed eyes, stumbling, slurred words.  This list is not exhaustive.

Consumption of other food and drink

We kindly ask that all food consumed on site to have been purchased at Crag House Farm.

Should you wish to bring a cake and candles into the restaurant for a special occasion, this

is acceptable. Please inform us when you make a reservation should you wish to do this.

We won’t tolerate threatening, aggressive, abusive, or violent behaviour. Under these circumstances, no member of staff should be required to, or feel obliged to, deal with any customer either face to face, over the phone or in correspondence.
